No deep message here.  As being a veggie can sometimes be a lonely undertaking, I thought I would list a few to keep you company.  My favourite is Mister Rogers.

  1. Leo Tolstoy, Macca, Wagner, Shelley, Mahler, Plutarch, David Ashton... lots of my favourite people there!

  2. Now I'm wishing I hadn't ordered lobster last night... :-(

Taking a break from veggism but will be back on the Tofu-horse when I get home. It's hard to find edible veggie food in the back-of-beyond! Lobster, yes. Tofurkey, no.

  3. For many people it would be a great step to eat less meat. Especially think about leaving out meat from factory farming and switch to organic. This would change a lot...

  4. That's quite a collection. We could have a pretty wild vegetarian dinner party with that crowd. Franz Kafka, Hayley Mills, Nikola Tessla, Weird Al, Grace Slick, Killer Kowalski, Jane Goodall, Alexander Pope. Hey this is fun. Who would you invite?? I'll bring my quinoa pilaf with smoked tofu.

  5. some of my favorite meals have been vegetarian, at the Tasajara Zen Center. A far cry from my early attempts 30 years ago. Veganism is a whole other kettle, as it were. Some of the best chocolate cake I've had was vegan. But alas, I still love my fillet mignon and salmon.

  7. Thanks, Susan - yeah he melts my heart too, and a veggie to boot. Here's to the list.

Kate, Lynette, Marcus, Carole and Tara, if you're still listening, I'm horrified to see that I rudely failed to thank you for taking the time to read the post and leave kind and thoughtful comments. A thousand apologies!

  8. Wow. I missed this post when you originally did it, but thanks to LinkWithin, which I also just added to my blog, I found this surprising information. I never knew that about Mr. Rogers. As a fellow veggie, I say, "Amazing!"
